Denver Broncos' Todd Davis Honored With Special Day

PALMDALE—The City Council honored a former Super Bowl champion and Paraclete High School student.

The Denver Broncos linebacker Todd Davis was presented with a proclamation, declaring a special day for the pro football star. Davis couldn't believe he was honored.

"You grow up hearing about these things happening to rock stars and movie stars when you're younger so for it to actually be here, it just feels like a tremendous blessing," said Davis.

At just 9-years-old Davis started his football career. He played in the Highland Youth Football program before he went to Paraclete. After graduating Paraclete in 2010 Davis then went to Sacramento State.

Davis will return back in July to host three events. These events will be a golf tournament, bowling fundraiser and a football camp for kids at the AVS. Davis hopes to raise enough money so the kids can attend the camp for free.
